What We Will Cover
This session is designed to get you confident with the essentials of Canva so you can start creating clean, professional assets for your business without the frustration.
Navigating the Dashboard & Workspace: Understanding layout types, document sizes, and starting projects correctly. Organising your workspace, folders, and uploaded assets.
Setting Up Your Brand Kit: Uploading your logo, setting your brand colour palette, and defining core fonts so every design stays consistent.
Working with Layouts & Elements: Choosing and customising templates so they look unique to your business rather than off-the-shelf. Selecting, resizing, and alignment techniques for text, imagery, frames, and icons.
Formatting Text & Imagery: Managing line height, spacing, and font hierarchy for clear readability. Working with photos, crop tools, background removal, and standard visual adjustments.
Saving & Exporting the Right Formats: Knowing when to export as PNG, JPEG, PDF Print, or PDF Standard for digital vs. print use.
How It Works
Before the workshop, you will complete a quick questionnaire. This allows me to understand your current skill level, your primary goals, and the specific types of graphics (e.g., social posts, flyers, documents) you need to create. The session is tailored directly around the answers provided.
• What You Need to Bring
• Your laptop and charger.
Access to your Canva account (a free account is fine, though we will cover Pro features where relevant).
By the end of the two hours, you will have set up your core brand assets and created reusable templates to streamline your ongoing marketing work. With only four seats available per session, booking early is essential.
