Fundraising for Willow Burn Hospice in memory of Gemma Justice

On Saturday 2nd September I walked 20 miles in memory of Gemma Justice and to raise money for Willow Burn Hospice.

For those who don’t know Gemma she was a client of mine and a member of Do Business Network until she received her cancer diagnosis. Sadly she passed away in June at the age of 42 leaving her family and friends utterly  heartbroken. Willow Burn Hospice had been a great support to Gemma and her family over the years so I thought it was fitting to try and raise some money for Willow Burn in Gemma’s memory.

So, on Saturday 2nd September I put on my walking boots and participated in the Steel Town 20, an organised annual 20 mile walk which is becoming a popular event in our area.

It was an amazing day, everyone was so supportive and talking about Gemma and it was a lovely surprise to see her brother Craig join me at the half way point with his sons to walk part of the way!

Thank you to everyone who has supported me especially Joanna Wellden and Natalie Chaters at Industrial Workwear Ltd. who kindly supplied my lovely t-shirt. If you’re looking for quality workwear and logo embroidery these are the girls to see!

I'm thrilled to announce that I hit my £500 target and this money will be donated to Willow Burn Hospice in Gemmas memory.

I’ve been told by a few people that the donation link wasn’t working for them over the weekend but it seems to be working now, if anyone would like to make a last minute donation they can do so here https://willowburnhospice.enthuse.com/pf/steeltown20dbn

Thanks again for all your support,

Melanie
